Blender

I’ve become enamored with Blender.  Not the kitchen tool, but the 3D modeling tool on my PC.

Blender is a very good tool for creating 3D art, scenes, and animations.

I’ve always considered myself moderately artistic, but not dedicated enough to be good at it.  I’ve also been moderately good at math and computer science. (This is helpful since I am a software engineer by trade.)

Blender lets me combine my modest skills in art and math to create objects and scenes in the computer.

One of my most involved scenes is a reproduction (as best as I could do) of a set from a classic sci-fi television show from the 1960s that is still going (in various forms) 60 years later.

Here’s a view of the bridge from classic Trek you don’t normally see.
This is a formula for a dodecahedron (12-sided regular polyhedron) using geometry nodes in Blender that I came up with myself.

This was not the easiest way to make such a shape in blender, but it was a challenging and educational exercise.
