I’ve become enamored with Blender.  Not the kitchen tool, but the 3D modeling tool on my PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blender is a very good tool for creating 3D art, scenes, and animations.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve always considered myself moderately artistic, but not dedicated enough to be good at it.  I’ve also been moderately good at math and computer science. (This is helpful since I am a software engineer by trade.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blender lets me combine my modest skills in art and math to create objects and scenes in the computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of my most involved scenes is a reproduction (as best as I could do) of a set from a classic sci-fi television show from the 1960s that is still going (in various forms) 60 years later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a formula for a dodecahedron (12-sided regular polyhedron) using geometry nodes in Blender that I came up with myself.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This was not the easiest way to make such a shape in blender, but it was a challenging and educational exercise.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
